Friday’s meet proved productive for underclassmen athletes. Several Challenger boys posted new personal records at South Medford.
Sophomore speedster Kristian Fralich ran a 24.22 in the 200, and a 56.86 in the 400. Up and coming freshman Jake Sorani ran a new best 2:12.73 in the 800, and ran a 4:59 in the 1-mile run while placing 4th.
From middle school to high school, the Pierson family has three track and field athletes. Sophomore Will Pierson set a new personal plateau with a javelin throw of 136’9″- good for a 5th place finish.
Sophomore Ethan Kleinsasser is establishing himself as an athlete- posting a new best for himself with a 16’3″ in the long jump. In the sophisticated triple jump, he jumped a 33’7″.
