South Umpqua’s Tori Lind made only one shot Friday night, but it’s one she will never forget. With time running out, Lind’s 3-point basket delivered a win for the Lancers over Cascade Christian by one point.

Numerous Challengers figured into the scoring, led by Emily Stephens- who filled up the stat sheet with 21 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Sophie Ferreira added 9 off the bench, Mallory Meilicke chipped in 8, and Abby Alexander posted 7 among others.

Cascade Christian had an unusually tough night at the free throw line, converting 9 out of 25. Tuesday night, the girls travel to Douglas to face the Trojans at 6 pm.
