Sophomore Jake Sorani ran a 16:47.8, placing 6th at the Rogue River Booster Invite. His time was the fastest among schools at the 3A level and smaller. Freshman Ty Havniear and senior Carson Casey ran virtually side by side with times of 19:40.6, and 19:41.3 respectively.
Gabe Hehn ran a 20:34, good enough to take 4th in the boys JV division. Freshman Austin Skelton posted a time of 26:35.7.
With the splitting of Cascade’s small team between divisions, they didn’t post a team score, however these meets from a team standpoint have no effect on rankings, but give runners a chance to gain valuable experience and a chance to compete with other runners which will be valuable further down the road.
Next- Cascade Christian heads north this Saturday for a meet at Lane Community College in Eugene.
