They can’t say the Cascade Christian Challengers aren’t battle tested. Trailing 6-4 in the 5th inning, the Challengers scored 6 in the 5th to take down the Phoenix Pirates for the second day in a row.

Audrey Quast started the rally with a double, and went to third on a single by Rebecca Clark. They scored on a single by Katelyn Willard to tie the game. Willard scored on a single by Mallory Meilcke to put the 8-1 Challengers ahead.

Meilicke went 4-4 with 5 RBIs. Willard scored 3 runs, while going 3-4. Clark scored 3 runs while going 2-3. Ali Modrell collected hit a double to cap the Challengers rally.

Willard had a solid day pitching. The sophomore scattered 8 hits and 3 walks, giving up 2 earned runs, while striking out 7.

Cascade Christian is now #1 in the OSAA 3A power rankings.
