The record will show that St. Mary’s won their game two of a double header against Cascade Christian. But the Challengers had a triumph of their own: the return of Davis Federico.
The senior suffered season-ending leg injuries in the Challengers’ football opener against Brookings-Harbor, placing Davis in the role of cheerleader and observer. Today, Federico came into the game in relief of starter Austin Waits.
Just getting out there was a win for Federico. Coach David Martin says Federico will be limited to pitching, but he will be out there, to the delight of his team.
Elsewhere for the Challengers, Cody Reece collected two hits and an RBI. Cole Stofflet and Ashton Moody drove in runs, and Keith Reed tapped out two hits.
