Cascade Christian graduate Dante Olson is headed north of the border to continue his pro football career in Canada. The Edmonton Football Team (formerly the Eskimos) announced they have signed the 2019 Buck Buchanan Award winner to play for their team.
After a decorated career with the University of Montana Grizzlies, Olson has had pro football experience in the NFL as a practice squad member of the Philadelphia Eagles. The 24-year old Olson joins with former Grizzly Jerry Louie-McGee, and the team’s general manager is also a Montana alumni.
At Cascade Christian, Olson was a member of the Challengers 2013 state championship team, and their state runner-up team in 2012. For three seasons, Olson led the team in tackles, and was a three-time all-state linebacker. Olson also starred on offense as a running back and tight end.
Good luck Dante!
