Challengers News · CCHS Athletic Director: Athletes Encouraged To Sign Up For Next Year’s Sports

Even as this school year draws to a close, Cascade Christian is preparing for the next school year. What does that look with COVID-19? The following letter went out via FACTS today from Athletic Director Nate Mayben:

CCMS/CCHS Parents and Guardians

First off, I would like to say thank you to all our families and students for enduring the roller coaster that 2020 has been so far. I know there are many questions regarding the start of school and even more questions regarding the outlook of fall sports for the 2020-2021 school year. The truth is, we do not have many answers. The best answer I think I can give right now is that we are preparing for fall sports like normal and planning for potential changes.

In preparation for 2020-2021 Sports Season we would like you to register as soon as possible. The last couple of years we have used a program called Register My Athlete and we will continue with this process. If you are interested in knowing what is happening this summer with Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, and Soccer please sign up online at

By signing up now you will receive summer workout information directly from our coaches. Even if you are not 100% sure you want to play, still sign up so that you do not miss any of the information that coaches send out over the summer.

While High School and Middle School sports my have things going on during the summer, none of it is considered mandatory. The official start of the fall season will begin August 17th. Once that date comes all our Middle School and High School athletes will need to have a current physical on record with the Athletic Office. Here is a link to the current Physical Form that needs to be completed and turned in by August 17th. Link to Physical Form

Again, thank you for your patience during these times of uncertainty and we wish you and your families well as we enter the summer season. Personally, I am so happy that I do not have to live in fear for we have a God who is greater than we can imagine, and He is in control.

God Bless

Nate Mayben
