Challenger swimmer Braedon Scaglione has signed a letter of intent to attend and compete at Arizona Christian in Phoenix, Arizona next year. Surrounded by coaches and family, one of the top swimmers in the Oregon small high school ranks made his intentions known.
Braedon says, “I chose AC because they contacted me letting me know that they wanted me to swim for them and the more I looked at the college the more I liked it.” He says the Firestorm have a need for a swimmer proficient in the breaststroke. Scaglione was a silver medalist in the 100 yard breaststroke at the 2020 OSAA state swimming championships with a time of 1:01.96. He also competed in the 50 yard breaststroke, the 50 free and swam a leg of the 200 yard medley relay (the team finished fourth), and the second place finishing 200 yard freestyle relay.
“I also believe that God really just opened this door for me and has made everyone work our so far so I am trusting him in this decision,” Scaglione says. He plans to major in elementary education, with a minor in Spanish.
