One of Cascade Christian’s most accomplished athletes in school history will be playing college football. Kiegan Schaan has signed a letter of intent to attend and play at George Fox University. Skilled as an offensive and defensive player, the younger brother Bruins QB Haiden Schaan will be playing defense.
On the football field, basketball court and on the track, Schaan has excelled wherever he’s needed. As a sophomore, Kiegan was a first team all-league receiver and linebacker as a part of a state champion Cascade Christian team. After his brother graduated, Kiegan took over as the Challengers signal caller, and proved to be a quick study- leading the Challengers to a state runner-up finish. As a junior, Schaan was a first team Far West League QB and DB, and he earned honors as the Offensive Player of the Year, and co-Defensive Player of the Year. After achieving all-state honors at linebacker as a sophomore, the son of Mike and Shelly Schaan was a first team all-state defensive back and second team all-state quarterback.
He capped off his career as a first team all-FWL quarterback, defensive back, and punter. Schaan was named 2019 FWL Defensive Player of the Year. He was a first team all-state defensive back. Kiegan also garnered all-state honors as a QB and Punter.
In addition to his athletic prowess on the gridiron, he has been an all-league basketball player, and he competed in track and field for two seasons.
As a student, Kiegan Schaan carries a 3.86 GPA, and has been honored as a Kiwanis Student of the Month. He plans to study medicine in college.
