If there’s a downside to being a playoff team, it’s that only one team- the champion- finishes their fine season with a win. While Cascade Christian won’t have it’s usual deep run in the Oregon 3A volleyball tournament, they still had a season they can be proud of. Saturday at Tualitin, a seesaw affair that went to five sets saw Horizon Christian win 25-23, 25-22, 24-26, 21-25, 19-17.
Seniors Olivia Borg and Madi Schwartz finished their high school careers in fine fashion. Borg collected nine kills on the day, while Schwartz anchored the back line defensively.
A two-time champion and a state finalist in the last three seasons, Cascade Christian finishes 2019 with a 14-8 record.
