Forward, midfielder, sweeper- you name it, Jonny McCoy has played it in his career at Cascade Christian- whatever the team needs. Thursday, the junior was recognized as one of Oregon’s top high school soccer players at the midfield position. Jonny set school records in 2018 with 27 goals and 16 assists, as the Challenger boys went 11-3-1. In 2019, he has filled a variety of roles- including sweeper to start most games- to help Cascade Christian defensively, as the second-place Challengers are 8-4-2. To date, he leads the team in goals scored with 12, and has dished out 5 assists.
