Challengers News · Bailey, Carlson & Weeks On Target At State Trap Meet

Grace Bailey took first in conference, Noelle Carlson second in conference, and Spencer Weeks had a round of going 25 for 25 at the Oregon State Trap Shooting Meet in Hillsboro Saturday. As a team, Cascade Christian took third in Conference 1 Division 1A. 487 shooters descended on the Hillsboro trap club to test their skills.

At the junior varsity level for High Gun, Lily Akins took home a top five, Maleah Crisp finished just outside the top ten at eleventh.

All who participated put up good numbers, considering the deep field of competitors. While Weeks, Declan Payne and Carlson conclude their high school years on a high note, Coach Weeks and the team have a future filled with potential as Bailey, Akins, Cole Broadbent, Ethan Rathburn, Owen Harrington, Dustin Chesney, and Zane Snyde have two years left to compete. Crisp, Noah Alleson, and Zach Kuyper have three, and there are at least three incoming frosh interested in trap shooting next year.

Congratulations team! You’ve come a long way in a short amount of time.
