Cascade Christian’s boys and girls teams finished 11th at the 19-team Crater Classic Saturday in Central Point. The boys were the top team among schools 3A and smaller. By the same standard, the girls were second behind St. Mary’s.
Abbey Alexander and Elli Hagloch posted personal records in the shot put in finishing third and fourth respectively. Alexander threw the shot 36’10”, while Hagloch registered a 34’11”.
Alexander also established a new best for herself in the discus. The senior recorded a 124’07” as she finished second.
Senior Emily Stephens placed fourth in the high jump with a 4’10”. She missed her entire junior season recovering from a serious knee injury.
Junior Collin Marshall set a new season best for himself in the discus with a 142’05”- good enough for a 4th place finish.
