Challengers News · JV Track: Stanfield Wins Two Events To Highlight Tornado Meet

Sophomore Hannah Stanfield won the 100 meter run  with a 13.97 and the high jump (4’04”) , Elliana Hagloch (84’01”) took the girls discus, Ethan Rathburn won the 110 meter hurdles (18.75) , Jake Sorani (2:15) won the 800 meters, and the Cascade boys 4×400 relay (Carson Casey, Isaac Wilson, Elijah Murphy and Jorge Garcia) at the Tornado JV Ice Breaker Thursday.

A number of Challengers also posted PR’s on the day- including Ethan Kleinsasser with a 13.36 in the 100, Jake Sorani ran a 57.26 (3rd place) in the 400, and Griffin Scott posted a 57.33 (4th place) in the same event. Jerushah Purrier ran a 14.01 in the 100 to place second behind Stanfield. In the shot put, Gabe Pierson finished second with his throw of 36’06”. Grant Couzens threw the discus 68’03” for a new personal record. Jarod Beal threw the javelin 110’1″ for a new PR. Ethan Kleinsasser and Jorge Garcia have new personal records with long jumps of 14’11” and 13’09” respectively. Isaac Wilson ran a new personal best of 4:47.36 when he finished second in the 1500. Rachel Johnston post a PR  of 19’02” in the shot put.
